After months spent on an old blog for a journalism class at the University of Michigan-Flint, I decided that it would be a good idea to keep up with a blog, just not that one. My former blog, Electric Fiction (1) was based on the Michigan music scene. While the Michigan music scene is still rolling on, despite the closing of the former Flint Local 432, its not moving fast enough for an entire blog to be dedicated to it. Therefore, I have changed up the theme.
While I am still writing music themed articles and reviews for The Michigan Times I have decided to tie in both my personal opinions (hence the blog) with both Michigan based bands and national bands. Along with posts on bands, I've also decided to write concert reviews and book reviews (music).
Mostly, I want to introduce new music to Michigan residents and I want others to join in discussion on a subject I value so highly. Please feel free to add this blog, comment on this blog, and use this blog in discussions. I am ready for anything. Are you?
